“Whose Line is it Anyway?” returns to the telly this summer, airing on the CW.
The show originated with the Brits and was borrowed by the Americans (as we have with so many television shows).
And the good news is that Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie will be back matching their wits with the spur-of-the-moment improvs. Brady, who proved his mettle before when he was on the show, says he didn’t grow up being funny:
“People say, ‘Oh, you’re a comedian.’ I wasn’t the class clown, had no desire to be, was a studious student, did my thing and started acting. Normally you find the class clown doesn’t prosper so why would I want to be that person? I was a good student, enjoyed school and liked doing it. When I found acting I took to it like fish to water, and it was what I wanted to do and wanted to pour all my energy into it.”
